Abstract Submission Process

The call for abstracts is now closed.

The call for abstracts is now closed. Staff and students (as co-authors) at Sunderland, Newcastle, Durham, and Teesside Universities have submitted abstracts this year.

Here is an overview of the submission process.

During the submission of your abstract, you will be asked for:

  • The contact details of your authors – name, email, country, organisation, and website page if you have one.
    • The lead author/1st corresponding author MUST BE a member of staff at the participating institutions.
    • The first 2 authors will be offered a place automatically.
    • The other authors will need to register for the conference using the normal booking process when the booking opens.

  • The title of your paper and your 250 word abstract (as plain text without formatting).

  • Key Words – key phrases or key terms (at least three).

  • Choose the most appropriate conference topic your workshop align’s to.
    • Please just choose the main one.
    • On an optional basis, You are invited to map your session to the UK Professional Standards Framework. Delegates may wish to use the learning they gain from attending your session to contribute towards their wish to ‘remain in good standing’ as a Fellow and/or to inform their practice which may later be used in a claim for recognition against a UKPSF Descriptor. To assist them in this endeavour, please state which of the UKPSF Dimensions (UKPSF, 2011; p3) are most aligned to your session, e.g. A1, K1 and V1*. Note: Please select only the 2-3 Dimensions which you believe are represented most strongly in your proposed session’.

  • And remember to click on the submit button at the bottom of the online form.

The lead author for each abstract will be notified within 1 week after submission that their abstract has been received.

The lead author for each abstract will be notified of the outcome from the review of their abstract submission approximately 3 weeks after the call for abstracts closes.

N.B. When an abstract is accepted, the first two authors will be automatically registered as delegates for this conference. Other authors will need to register in the normal conference registration process using the link on the main webpage.
